A pharmaceutical company needed to migrate a legacy document management system away from a proprietary back end to utilize the document management and workflow capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007). KMA constructed a SharePoint API atop an existing, validated document management system. The result was that users could continue to use the application with which they were most comfortable, while leveraging the tools of MOSS for document management, integrated security and access models.
