A global software company needed advisory services and
direction to more easily administer their existing decentralized deployments of
SharePoint. KMA provided a functional and technical review of their existing SharePoint
platform and insight into strategy and architecture around Windows SharePoint Services
(WSS) v3 migration. KMA drove a higher level of understanding about requirements
for governance, set the groundwork for their upgrade and determined best use of
search tools available. The result to the customer was significant cost savings
via centralized and efficient management of SharePoint, and a solid foundation for
future SharePoint applications.
A semiconductor equipment company sought to understand
and choose the right enterprise search tool for their needs. KMA built a proof-of-concept
for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Search, configuring it to index and crawl
legacy data stores and demonstrate how data in legacy file shares could be most
easily searched and accessed within the company's existing network topology. The
result was a roadmap of options available for enterprise search, and cost/effort
of these options.
A semiconductor manufacturer needed a foundation
for collaboration among their engineers along with tools to support ISO compliance.
KMA provided the architecture, installation and implementation of Microsoft Office
SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) and custom workflow development to support these
goals. The result was a set of collaboration tools to serve as the "DNA" of the
company: promoting and reinforcing well-engineered business practices.
A high-tech manufacturer needed a system to make
product development more efficient to keep up with accelerating product lifecycles.
KMA provided the architecture, installation and implementation of Microsoft Office
SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) to replace the company's existing shared file
folders for capturing, storing and securely disseminating product engineering data.
The result was increased velocity of information, improved security and decreased
cost of ownership.
A rapidly growing software company needed a single
"jumping off point" for their corporate portal encompassing a rich search interface,
links to all of their line-of-business systems, and tailored content. KMA provided
the architecture, installation and implementation of Microsoft Office SharePoint
Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) for this corporate portal, giving the company "one stop
shopping" for corporate information, and integrated content from varied sources
(e.g. CEO blog, corporate wiki etc.) The result was increased employee productivity,
less time searching disparate systems and data repositories, and strong reinforcement
of the company's internal brand and culture.
An alternative energy company needed a central
portal for their finance and human resources professionals to store and disseminate
information to workers in their US and EU locations, and workspaces for collaboration
by project teams. KMA provided the architecture, installation and implementation
of a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007)-based intranet with HR
and Finance functions and team sites for engineering. The result was a single centralized
portal for core administrative functions, and a set of collaborative workspaces
that increased the productivity of their engineering teams.
A human resource team at a global software company
needed a streamlined interview scheduling tool. KMA designed, built and implemented
a solution using Microsoft Outlook and InfoPath. The result was an application which
provides Human Resources with tools to accelerate the interviewing process to easily
schedule/reschedule multiple interviewers for multiple candidates with reduced manual
intervention. The company experienced an increase in employee productivity, reduced
cost to obtain talent and a seamless and professional experience for the potential
candidate.
